Has Battlegrounds Mobile India Banned? Game Removed From Google Play Store, Apple App Store

Clusterdam: On Thursday, the mobile game known as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was suddenly taken down from the Google Play and Apple App Stores in India. The game was made available to the public in 2019, one year after its predecessor, PUBG Mobile, was declared illegal by the government of India due to security concerns in the year 2020.

Fans of BGMI all across the country went mad as soon as the news surfaced because there was no explanation for its absence, and the majority of gamers believed that it was due to a technical problem.

Beware, Android Users! Six antivirus apps from the Google Play store were found to have stolen the data of 15,000 users.

On the other hand, it is not clear whether the game is currently prohibited in the nation as a whole or whether it was removed from some app stores because it violated the standards of those stores.

On the other hand, PUBG New State, which was produced by the same company that was responsible for BGMI, Krafton, can be downloaded from both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

In the meantime, a spokesperson of the company shared the following statement with India Today Tech: "We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from the Google Play and App stores and will let you know soon we have exact information."

Even though the removal of BGMI from the Google Play Store has fueled speculation about a ban, the government has not provided any official confirmation that the game has been restricted in any way. On the other hand, gamers will be required to hold off for a few hours before receiving additional information regarding the issue.
